This desert tour Package starting from Marrakech and ending in Marrakech to Chegaga Dunes offers you an idealic opportunity to explore the authentic Morocco in a relaxing travel way. The highlights of this experience containing atlas Mountains,dramatic gorges and sahara Desert spaces.This tour takes you through a lifetime journey, where you can explore the silence of the Desert, beauty of Kasbahs and the simplicity of the local life style of the south.

You will be driven by a private and air-conditioned 4wheel vehicle from Marrakech towards south crossing high atlas Mountains and exploring two historical sites-Teloute and Ait BenHaddou Kasbahs.the overnight in a well-selected guest house in Ait BenHaddou Kasbah. Afterwards, we start our second day to Kasbah Amridil, Todra and Dades gorges via Ourazazate town, overnight in Todra Gorges. The following day, we drive directly to Chegaga Dunes via Zagora town and Mhamid, which is the last town before the sahara Desert starts. Having Lunch in the way, We drive on an off-road for two hours to reach your desert Tented camp in Chegaga Dunes ,where you will there spend two nights. Do not miss the magical moment when the sun sets down atop the spectuclar dunes .During your stay you can sandboard on the dunes, the highlight of your experience in the camp is to enjoy the immensity of The Desert and fascination of the starry sky. The following day, it is an optional guided trekking day, you walk or ride on camels with having Lunch under a tamarisk tree shade, then returning back to the camp. Today can be done with four-wheel drive.

The last day we resume driving to Marrakech passing by a huge desert plateau, Foum Zguid then Taznakht town to reach Marrakech on evening time.

Itinerary : 

Day  1: Marrakech -teloute kasbah-ait ben haddou kasbah-ourazazate-Skoura

we collect you from your Marrakech accommadation (Riad or hotel) at  8 am with a private and air-conditioned vehicle then start your desert tour by heading towards the high atlas and crossing .Tizi n’tichka. Pass 2260m (7417ft)with having a couple of stops en route for panoramic photos and refreshments.we follow the one thousand kasbahs road via ounila valley until we arrive to the Kasbah of teloute-was one of the principal residences of pasha Galaoui tahami-Afterwards, The well-preserved Kasbah Of Ait ben Haddou-UNSECO world Heritage Site- this provides an extraordinary ensemble of buildings offering a complete pre-saharan earthen construction techniques.We take a break to have lunch in Ait ben Haddou Site ,we continue our journey crossing anti-atlas mountains and Ourazazate town known with the hollywood of africa .arriving to skoura or  palmtree kingdom ,which is a small town amid date palmtree groves,you spend the overnight there in one of well-selected accommadation with evening and morning meals included .We propose auberge Chez taloute

Day 2 : Skoura – Amridil Kasbah -Dades gorges- Todra gorges- Zagora

the second day varies from the palm oases to massive gorges.after having your breakfast,we move onto the Kasbah of Amridihl ,a living museum originally built in 17th century by Enassiri Family.afterward,your journey goes further through both Dades gorges known with the valley of figs and Todra gorges.

In Todra gorges we will stretch our legs in 300m canyons before having lunch.

we depart towards Zagora town -used to be a departure point of trading caravans to Timbuktu in Mali-we drive through small berber villages,where their inhabitants still maintain traditional and simple lifestyle.you will spend the night in an authentic accommadation in Zagora .

Day 3:Zagora-tamegroute-Mhamid village-Chegaga dunes camp

after having breakfast,we continue our journey around 20 km taway from Zagora arriving to tamegroute town to visit the historical quranic library,containing thousands scripts some written on gazelle leathers, afterward the green pottery Fabrication to see how locals make pottery by hands .

We head south to get to the last village before the the sahara desert starts-Mhamid.having finished your lunch in Mhamid,we continue driving on a beaten track for two hours to arrive to our Erg Chegaga desert camp with having couple of stops in nicely different spots.

When getting to the camp,which is equipped beds ,toilet,shower facilities and electricity with solar panels, you will be welcomed with a cup of tea and cockies.a moment not to be missed in this desert tour is the sunset atop chegaga dunes 350 high to watch how beautifully the sun sets down.

you then return to the camp.your overnight will be spent in the camp serving you with locally-cooked meals,the night will be animated with traditional songs by drums and castanets around the fire place,sleep in nomadic tents or perhaps stargazing under a fascinating starry sky. Day 4: guided-camel Trekking day

Today is a sahara day, you have an optional choice to choose whether you like your journey by camels or 4 wheel drive.In case you choose a guided camel trekking,this day tour offers you the opportunity to walk among the dunes regarding to your rhythm . After having your breakfast,the journey starts with walking for a few hours in harmony with camels’ steps ,you can also ride on as well.we then pause to have lunch prepared by your guides under a shady tamarisk or palmtree .we  return back taking different traces to discover the immensity and beauty of the desert,when arriving to the camp you can there sandboard if interested,the overnight will be in the camp with meals and entertainment included.

Day 5 :  Erg chegaga – Iriki lake – Foum Zgid- Taznakhte- Marrakech

we recommend waking up early to enjoy how amazingly the sun rises up if you are a morning person.after having your breakfast, today we drive almost 90KM,takes us three hours to arrive at the first village after the Sahara desert. In our way to Marrakech we stop in the national Iriki Lake,which was  full of water years ago before it becomes dry and the fossil site ,where you can collect small pieces if interested .afterward,we arrive to the first village Foum Zgid -a small town situated in the edge of anti-atlas mountains with a possibility to have a cup of tea or orange juice there.we continue driving to Marrakech passing by Taznakhte village or the kingdom of weaving berber carpets .you have your lunch in the midway with having a couple of stops for photos and refreshments. Your arrival to Marrakech will be on the evening time.
